Permission Letter to Police Station for Marriage Procession

In order to reduce noise pollution and especially to avoid any inconvenience to the general public, the government has made laws to restrict the use of loudspeakers and public address system between certain times in a day.

Permission Letter to Police Station for Marriage Procession (Sample)In certain cases, considering an exceptional situation - the police may allow such usage only after the party has specifically obtained permission for it from the appropriate authority.

Many marriages in India are conducted between late night till early morning and hence the procession of the groom's family and friends starts late at night and continues till almost midnight and beyond. It'd be advisable to take advance permission of the police in such cases, otherwise the police have the right to stop the procession abruptly. In some cases, police may not allow use of loudspeaker in procession after certain time, e.g. after 9-10pm.

Following format of writing an application letter to police authority seeking permission could be useful. If you are not going to use loudspeaker after the permissible time limit, then no permission is needed, but you should write an intimation letter about the marriage procession.
