When a person applies to a financial institution for a new credit card, bank account, loans, mortgage on properties, etc, these institution carries out certain verification to establish the credit worthiness of the prospective customer before approving his application.
One of the verification method is to confirm the monthly income of the customer from its employer where he is having a job. Hence, these financial institutions ask the customer to either get an income proof letter from the employer or they directly write to the HR or Accounts Department of that Company asking for the income proof letter for the applicant employee.
The format of the income letter or certificate to be provided by the employer could be somehow in the template given hereunder.
