Refund of Security Deposit Request Letter to Electricity company

While applying for a new electricity connection, along with the submission of application form and supporting documents, a security deposit amount, as may be fixed by the Electricity board/company, has to be deposited.

The security deposit amount is refundable upon surrender of the electricity connection after adjustment of any pending bills as may be due but not paid.

The Electricity board may have a prescribed format of application which has to be filled and submitted at their concerned office for claiming refund of security deposit amount. Please do check with them at first. Generally, the connection surrender application form contains the point on security deposit refund request.

If they do not have any application form for this, then you can write a simple letter having all the details about your electricity connection, surrender application reference and refund request.
