Application Letter for Linking Aadhaar Card to the Bank Account

Updation of Aadhar card numbers in the bank accounts of customers was made compulsory earlier by the Government, but due to a recent Supreme Court judgment the customers can't be forced anymore to link their bank account with Aadhar. But if you are still interested to link your Aadhar with your bank account for some purposes like receiving gas connection subsidies etc, then you should apply to your bank for such updation.

There are different methods to update your Aadhar number in bank account.

(1) Through Netbanking portal of bank - login and update the details;

(2) Submit application form at the bank's branch office;

(3) Write a letter to bank with all the details and submit it.

Following format of request letter to the bank for updating Aadhar number in your bank account can be used. Do check with your bank first to know the procedure and documents requirement accurately.
